In between the “why’s,” if I drew breath, it should only be to give thanks for the no’s and not yet’s.
If I had ears keen, I would hear those answers from Jesus as the biggest comfort for the pain. He saves us from much.
The child that was not hurt.
The doctor appointment with happy answers.
The home that didn’t burn down.
With a mouth of gratitude, I should thank Him for what is, and what is not.
Careful not to doubt, my eyes should see His work – complex, confusing, mysterious and sure. And for all the times He guides our unknowing feet.
