The mud has dried up and we can hit the trails again. Despite skidding down an embankment and scratching my arm, we had a pleasant afternoon smelling Spring. We also saw a deer, some wildflowers, spiders and one fiddleheader in a red cap. Not exactly an extinct species, but we enjoyed watching his slow progress on the opposite side of the river.
