Every Weekend’s a Weekend

And we spent our extra days hiking, going to a yard sale, eating hamburgers, watching fireworks and catching up on to-do lists.

The hike in particular was an exercise of determination, with unmarked paths and lots of back tracking. Near the end, we just listened for water and slid down the treacherous looking ravine. It felt a million miles from the world, which that day, was just what I needed.
