A New Day

In August, I turned 24, did some scary (to me) things, and stayed up way too late.

And now it’s September. Full of good intentions and new schedules, summer is already slipping away behind me and the school year is ahead.

I’ve loved this summer, in all its busy, hazy glory. I’ve failed in spectacular ways and at other times, God has met me where I did not expect. But the purpose of the time in your rear-view mirror is to point the days ahead, a little straighter.

So I’m looking to what’s ahead. The lesson plans, the weekend travels, the books I plan to read, the fears that need conquering, the Skype calls…and leaning on the God who has held all bridges in the past.
