From the Shelf: The Happiness Project

“One of the best ways to make yourself happy is to make other people happy. One of the best ways to make other people happy is to be happy yourself.”

  1. I like this quote – and it is very applicable to my life right now!
(the interaction above made me chuckle. Margaret is so eager, and it sounds like you are letting her down easy. :P)

    1. Haha – OK OK…in the interest of full disclosure. I DID like the book, and think about it several times a day. On the flip side, some parts made me sad, because it’s kind of futile to ‘change’ yourself from a secular stand point. So there was a lot of good, and some downsides…therefore…discussable! 😀

        1. I agree with you both, wholeheartedly! I personally think her ideas are all, or almost all, completely applicable to the Christian life. At the very least, they are redeemable. It really is about contentment and thankfulness, in a lot of ways… although I totally agree that it makes me bummed to think that she’s not a Christian.
